PHILADELPHIA, PA — Five Below Inc. (NASDAQ: FIVE) delivered another quarter of double-digit growth, reporting third-quarter fiscal 2025 results that topped expectations and pushed the discount retailer to its second consecutive quarter above the $1 billion sales mark.
Net sales for the quarter ended November 1 rose 23.1% to $1.04 billion, driven by a 14.3% increase in comparable-store sales and the addition of 49 net new locations. The company now operates 1,907 stores across 44 states, a 9% increase from a year earlier. Operating income improved sharply to $43.3 million, reversing a small loss in the prior year period.
Net income climbed to $36.5 million, up from $1.7 million a year ago, while diluted earnings per share rose to $0.66. Adjusted earnings reached $0.68 per share. CEO Winnie Park said the strong results reflect effective execution of a merchandise and marketing strategy aimed at delivering low-price, high-interest goods to value-focused shoppers.
The company also posted strong year-to-date performance, with net sales up 22.1% to $3.04 billion and comparable sales up 11.3%. Year-to-date net income nearly doubled to $120.4 million.
Five Below raised its full-year outlook on the strength of its results. For fiscal 2025, the company now expects revenue between $4.62 billion and $4.65 billion, with comparable sales rising between 9.4% and 10.1%. Full-year net income is forecast between $306 million and $316 million, with adjusted earnings projected as high as $5.89 per share.
Fourth-quarter revenue is expected to reach as high as $1.61 billion, with comparable sales rising between 6% and 8%. The company plans to open about 150 net new stores this year.
Park said Five Below enters the holiday season “well-positioned to delight our customers,” citing strong merchandising, omnichannel marketing, and store experience initiatives.
The company will hold a conference call with investors to discuss the results and outlook. A webcast will be available at investor.fivebelow.com.
