Faith, History, and Politics Collide in a New Book From Lancaster Author

Liberty Hill Publishing

LANCASTER, PA — A new release from Liberty Hill Publishing is stirring debate by linking modern geopolitics, American history, and biblical interpretation into a single narrative. Author Peter Walton’s Three Dates; July 4, 1976; October 7, 2023; November 5, 2024 argues that three defining moments across five decades reflect what he calls God’s direct hand in world affairs.

The paperback book, priced at $15.99, and the $7.99 e-book edition present Walton’s case that these three dates represent “crossroads” that reshaped Israel, the United States, and the global balance of power.

The first date, July 4, 1976, centers on the Israeli military’s raid on Entebbe Airport in Uganda to rescue hostages from a hijacked plane, an operation Walton ties symbolically to the approaching two-hundredth anniversary of the United States on the same calendar date in 2026. He asks readers to consider whether the alignment of those events reflects more than coincidence.

October 7, 2023, the second date, marks the Hamas-led attack on Israel that ignited a sweeping regional conflict. Walton frames the aftermath as a turning point that weakened militant groups including Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, destabilized Syria’s long-standing leadership, and opened the door for wider Arab participation in the Abraham Accords, all of which he views as part of a broader divine plan.

The third date, November 5, 2024, corresponds to the U.S. presidential election, which Walton portrays as a decisive moment that restored free enterprise and free speech after what he describes as a period of ideological drift toward socialism.

“The horror of October 7, 2023 then the joy of November 5, 2024 led me to tie both of these events to two events that occurred on July 4, 1976,” Walton said. He cited both the Entebbe rescue and America’s bicentennial celebrations as anchors for his argument.
