Ethos Cannabis Launches Clemency Kush in Multi-State Push for Cannabis Justice

Ethos Cannabis

PHILADELPHIA, PAEthos Cannabis is deepening its commitment to criminal justice reform through a new partnership with the Last Prisoner Project (LPP), unveiling a limited-edition Clemency Kush vape product that will generate direct support for individuals harmed by decades of cannabis prohibition.

Launching November 17 across Pennsylvania dispensaries, Clemency Kush will be sold in 1-gram disposables and cartridges, with $2 from each sale donated to LPP. The campaign runs through January 1 and spans all three Ethos markets — Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Massachusetts — each offering state-specific products that contribute to the nonprofit’s mission.

In Pennsylvania, sales of Clemency Kush will support LPP, while Ohio will contribute through Meigs County Grown Granddaddy Purple 0.84g cartridges, and Massachusetts through Eleven Blue Dream 1g cartridges.

Ethos CEO Gibran Washington said the partnership reflects the company’s philosophy that “no one should be behind bars for something that today defines a regulated and legitimate industry.” He emphasized that the initiative is designed not only to raise funds but to elevate education, advocacy, and awareness surrounding cannabis criminalization.

The collaboration extends Ethos’ broader social-impact footprint. Earlier this year, the company raised more than $8,500 for LPP through point-of-sale donations matched by its Ethos Cares program. The company has also supported a range of health nonprofits and maintains an academic partnership with Thomas Jefferson University to advance research-based cannabis access.

For LPP, the Ethos partnership brings an important amplification effect. Executive Director Stephanie Shepard said the effort “helps close the gap between cannabis commerce and cannabis justice,” adding that Ethos’ multistate reach strengthens the nonprofit’s impact.

LPP continues to pursue reforms nationwide through legal advocacy, reentry services, and legislative change. To date, the organization has eliminated more than 350 years of excessive prison sentences — including eight life sentences — delivered over $9 million in pro bono legal assistance, distributed $3.7 million directly to incarcerated individuals and their families, and cleared more than 200,000 records tied to cannabis convictions.

The Clemency Kush campaign reflects an emerging trend within the cannabis industry: companies moving beyond rhetoric to fund tangible criminal-justice outcomes as the sector grows.
