Enclara and FireNote Streamline EMR Transitions for Hospices with New Integration Tool

Enclara Pharmacia

PHILADELPHIA, PAEnclara Pharmacia and FireNote have launched a new integration feature that aims to dramatically reduce the time, errors, and administrative burden associated with electronic medical record (EMR) conversions in hospice care.

The feature allows hospice providers migrating to FireNote’s EMR system to automatically import patient medication profiles from Enclara Pharmacia. This eliminates the need for manual data entry and reduces the likelihood of medication discrepancies—a common and costly pain point during EMR transitions.

“This collaboration with FireNote sets a precedent for the hospice industry,” said Mark Morse, CEO of Enclara Pharmacia. “By addressing the challenges of EMR transitions, we’re empowering clinicians to devote more time to patient care rather than administrative tasks.”

Traditionally, switching EMR systems required hospice staff to manually re-enter medication data, a time-intensive process often followed by a separate reconciliation to ensure data accuracy. The new tool resolves this by enabling direct and verified data transfer from Enclara into FireNote’s system.

FireNote CEO Leonard Jensen noted that the integration reflects the company’s mission to remove technological barriers that hinder patient care. “Partnering with Enclara to create this feature is a great example of how collaboration can lead to meaningful industry transformation,” he said.

Early adoption of the tool has already shown promising results. One hospice reported saving roughly 40 minutes per patient during the transition. For a provider with 150 patients, that translates into nearly 170 staff hours saved over a standard two-week migration period.
