Earlington Road Closure Could Disrupt Daily Commutes

HAVERFORD TWP, PA — Drivers in Delaware County should prepare for long-term weekday disruptions as PECO begins utility construction that will close a section of Earlington Road starting Monday, March 23.

PECO Energy said Earlington Road will be closed between Mill Road and Wynne Avenue during daytime hours. Local access will be maintained, but through traffic will not be permitted in the work zone.

Drivers will be directed to use Eagle Road, Darby Road, and U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) to navigate around the closure.

Motorists should expect delays along the detour routes and surrounding roadways. Plan extra time and consider alternate routes when traveling through Haverford Township during work hours.
