WILMINGTON, DE & LYON, France — Ananda Scientific Inc. and Benta SAS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore a collaboration aimed at accelerating the development and potential distribution of a new treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder across Europe and the Middle East/North Africa region.

The agreement centers on Nantheia™, Ananda’s investigational drug now progressing through clinical trials. PTSD remains a chronic, life-altering condition affecting millions worldwide, and no new drug for the disorder has been approved in more than 20 years—a gap that has fueled industry pressure to deliver fresh therapeutic options.

Under the MOU, Ananda will continue to handle clinical development, including trial oversight and regulatory strategy. Benta would contribute its manufacturing capabilities, infrastructure, and regional distribution strengths to prepare for potential future scale-up.

Sohail Zaidi, Ananda’s chief executive, said the collaboration aligns with the company’s goal of advancing treatments for neuropsychiatric conditions with limited therapeutic options. He cited a rising global need for PTSD therapies and emphasized that partnerships can improve readiness for future commercialization.

Benta SAS President Bernard Tannoury said the company is committed to supporting emerging therapeutics that offer measurable benefits to patients and noted Benta’s interest in applying its technical capabilities to the program.

The arrangement remains exploratory, but both companies signaled that the rising demand for modern PTSD interventions has created an opening for innovative drug development and broader international manufacturing partnerships.
