ROSE VALLEY, PA — On Sunday, June 22, at 2 p.m., the Hedgerow Theatre Company will present a unique concert event featuring longtime WXPN DJ Chuck Elliott as Master of Ceremonies, alongside special musical performances by local folk duo Last Chance and guest artists Bethlehem and Sad Patrick. The event will take place in Hedgerow’s intimate, 100-seat theater located at 64 Rose Valley Road, Media, PA, in a historic 19th-century grist mill.
Chuck Elliott, a celebrated voice on WXPN/88.5 and host of the popular Saturday morning program Sleepy Hollow, brings over 50 years of broadcasting experience to the stage. A native of Brooklyn, Elliott moved to Philadelphia to attend the University of Pennsylvania in the 1960s and has since balanced careers in radio, computer operations, and nursing. Elliott is also known for his involvement in local community theater, performing in productions such as Rehearsal for Murder and The Odd Couple.
Headlining the musical performances is Last Chance, the folk duo of Jack Scott and Ingrid Rosenback. Since forming in 2012, the pair has released six albums of original music and performed across the Philadelphia area, earning accolades and a reputation for engaging, handcrafted songs. They have played at notable venues including the Philadelphia Folk Festival, where they are five-time veterans, and were named winners of the 2018 Delmarva Folk Hero Contest. “There’s a spirit to the music of Last Chance that’s lively and reflective,” stated graphic artist Jenell Kesler.
Also performing are Bethlehem and Sad Patrick, whose music blends powerful vocals, body percussion, and thoughtful guitar melodies to explore themes of love, resilience, and societal struggles. Their critically acclaimed 2019 album Love & Other Struggles cemented their reputation, earning praise for its poetic edge and earning them a spot in NPR’s Slingshot series as one of the top 10 emerging artists in Philadelphia.
The concert continues Hedgerow’s tradition of hosting live music events in addition to its theatrical productions, offering a unique cultural experience for audiences. Tickets for the performance are priced at $25 and include a light reception following the concert. Tickets are available online, by phone at 610-565-4211, or at the door, though availability is limited.
This one-night-only event promises an exceptional blend of music and storytelling, highlighting both seasoned performers and rising talent in the Greater Philadelphia arts scene.
