GLEN MILLS, PA — Golden Waffles and Dirty Dough, one of the fastest-growing concepts within Craveworthy Brands, unveiled a new collaboration that brings waffle-based indulgence to Dirty Dough’s national menu. The partners introduced Waffle Bites, a four-item lineup now available at more than 50 Dirty Dough locations across the United States.
The launch highlights a growing trend in foodservice: waffles emerging as a versatile, high-margin platform for operators seeking menu innovation across breakfast, snack, and dessert dayparts. Golden Waffles and Dirty Dough positioned the Waffle Bites offering as a response to rising consumer appetite for customization, comfort flavors, and portable treats.
Dirty Dough’s Senior Vice President of Culinary and Supply Chain, Jax Sperling, said the partnership allows the brand to expand its identity beyond its signature layered cookies. Sperling described the new menu items as an opportunity to deliver “all-day indulgence” in a format that can meet demand for quick breakfasts, afternoon snacks, or late-night cravings.
The new lineup includes four varieties:
- Churro, featuring cinnamon-sugar Waffle Bites layered with dulce de leche and waffle syrup;
- Funnel Cake, topped with cherry pie filling and whipped cream;
- Peanut Butter Sundae, combining peanut butter, chocolate drizzle and peanut butter cups;
- Chocolate Hazelnut, made with chocolate hazelnut spread and mini chocolate candies.
Golden Waffles CEO Mike DiBeneditto said the collaboration showcases the brand’s adaptability as waffle dishes gain momentum across foodservice channels. He noted that operators increasingly seek products that strike a balance between creativity and operational efficiency.
Industry data points to waffles as a powerful menu driver, favored by restaurants for their familiarity, versatility and low labor requirements. DiBeneditto said Golden Waffles’ formats — from full-size plates to bite-sized pieces — enable operators to design offerings that are both playful and portable.
The partnership forms part of Dirty Dough’s broader menu expansion, which now includes Bars, Cinnamon Rolls, customizable Dirty Drinks and Shakes, and its flagship stuffed cookies.
