QUAKERTOWN, PA — DEXIS introduced an updated version of its DTX Studio platform featuring FDA-cleared artificial intelligence tools and multi-site connectivity, the company announced.
The update, DTX Studio Clinic v4.7, adds AI-driven diagnostic indicators, automated treatment planning features and workflow enhancements for dental practices.
DEXIS said its imaging platforms are used in more than 50,000 clinics worldwide and process more than 500 million images annually. In 2025, the company said its AI analyzed 120 million clinical findings.
The updated platform allows clinicians to identify up to 15 diagnostic insights on 2D intraoral radiographs, including eight newly added restorative indicators such as crowns, bridges and root canals. The company said full-mouth AI detection and layout functions are five times faster than previous versions.
The FDA-cleared AI module is also integrated into the DEXIS Imaging Suite to provide consistency across products, according to the company.
Additional features include bone level measurement tools, automated grouping of findings by tooth or arch, customizable radiograph views, and expanded 3D imaging capabilities. The update also includes enhancements to practice management system integration, implant workflows and lab case sharing.
DEXIS also introduced DTX Studio Go Sync, a cloud-based system designed to synchronize patient imaging records across multiple practice locations.
The company announced new integrations with CephX for cephalometric analysis, BeamReaders for CBCT radiology review and Qlone for 3D face scanning.
“DEXIS is setting a new benchmark for digital dentistry,” President Robert Befidi said in a statement. “Our mission is simple: to build intelligent solutions that empower clinicians to accelerate decision making, improve diagnostic confidence, and deliver care that patients can truly understand. This latest evolution brings FDA-cleared AI across our ecosystem—giving dental professionals powerful visual tools and seamless connectivity to labs and partners, so they can focus on the treatment story and the patient experience. It’s not just an upgrade; it’s proof that DEXIS leads the way in quality, innovation, and patient-focused solutions.”
