QUAKERTOWN, PA — DEXIS™ announced the launch of IS Connect Cloud for Labs and expanded software integrations aimed at strengthening digital collaboration between dental laboratories and clinics.
The company introduced the cloud-based version of its IS Connect platform as part of an effort to expand its lab-to-clinic workflow solutions, according to the announcement.
IS Connect Cloud for Labs transitions the platform fully to the cloud and includes a redesigned user interface intended to improve usability across devices. The system allows integration with lab management systems and other software through an open platform model.
DEXIS said the updated platform supports multiple users per site and enables laboratories to add their specific service offerings directly within the system.
The company also introduced a new application programming interface, or API, designed to simplify integration with DEXIS solutions. According to DEXIS, dental technology company Amann Girrbach integrated its systems using the new API.
“Labs are essential to delivering outstanding patient care, and we want every interaction with DEXIS to feel seamless,” said Robert Befidi, president of DEXIS. “These enhancements and integrations are focused on removing friction—making it easier for labs to connect with clinics, and for clinics to trust the workflow behind every case.”
DEXIS also announced expanded integrations with exocad and Labtrac. The company said the integrations are intended to facilitate data exchange, case tracking and workflow management between clinics and laboratories.
DEXIS provides digital diagnostic imaging and intraoral scanning solutions for dental practices and laboratories.
