MEDIA, PA — The Because Organization invites speakers and presenters to participate in its upcoming awareness event during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (April 19–25, 2026). The nonprofit, based in Media, Pennsylvania, supports survivors of human trafficking as they rebuild their lives through housing assistance, legal aid referrals, and life skills education. Each program is designed to help survivors achieve independence and long-term stability.
The event, to be held in Delaware County at a location to be finalized, will bring together survivor voices, advocacy organizations, researchers, and community partners to highlight ongoing efforts to protect and empower crime victims. The Because Organization seeks individuals to lead engaging talks or panels on human trafficking awareness, crime prevention, victim advocacy, and community safety. Speaker proposals are encouraged from survivors with lived experience, researchers and educators in the field, community and industry partners dedicated to prevention initiatives, and law enforcement professionals who work directly with victims. Presentations on related topics such as cybersecurity, identity theft, and other emerging crime-prevention issues are also welcome.
“National Crime Victims’ Rights Week is an opportunity to bring diverse perspectives together to support survivors,” said Marcia Holt, CEO of Because. “We’re eager to collaborate with speakers who can inform, inspire, and drive meaningful action.”
In addition to speakers, the Because Organization welcomes sponsors, community partners, and volunteers who want to be part of this important week of awareness and advocacy. Businesses, civic groups, and individuals interested in supporting the event through sponsorship or collaboration are encouraged to visit www.becauseorganization.org or contact volunteer@becauseorganizatio.org for more information.
