DataBee Expands Cybersecurity Suite with AI-Powered BluVector

DataBee

PHILADELPHIA, PA — DataBee®, a Comcast Company, has bolstered its cybersecurity offering by integrating BluVector®, an advanced AI-powered network detection and response (NDR) platform, into its product suite. This addition aims to deliver cutting-edge protection against a wide range of cyber threats, including ransomware, file-less attacks, and zero-day exploits, empowering organizations with rapid detection and response capabilities.

DataBee BluVector leverages a patented machine learning engine to identify malware and polymorphic threats without depending on preexisting signatures. Its intelligent algorithms analyze file attributes for malicious traits and adapt to individual organizational environments, creating tailored detection capabilities over time. Purposefully designed for high performance, BluVector can process millions of packets per second at scale, exceeding speeds of 10 Gbps for real-time analysis.

“DataBee BluVector is a powerhouse, working behind the scenes at Comcast to provide advanced threat detection, including the ability to detect and contain AI-based malware and zero-day threats as early as possible,” said Noopur Davis, Comcast Corporation’s Executive Vice President, Chief Information Security and Product Privacy Officer. “It feels great to share highly effective tools and technologies with my industry peers through our DataBee business, and BluVector is certainly one of those.”

The platform’s impact is already being recognized by key users. Jesse Whaley, Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Amtrak, noted, “With DataBee BluVector, we’ve gained valuable insights that identified previously unknown external and insider risks. Additionally, it detects misconfigured devices and aids in troubleshooting network issues, which helped solve critical compliance and operational challenges.”

Enhancements to DataBee Platform Elevate Security Flexibility

Complementing the launch of DataBee BluVector, the DataBee platform itself has been enhanced to provide greater flexibility and usability. It now supports both on-premise and leading cloud storage options, such as AWS S3 and Azure Blob, enabling customers to work seamlessly within their existing infrastructure. DataBee’s use of Apache Iceberg™ as its open-table format ensures platform independence, eliminating the need for additional business intelligence tools.

Nicole Bucala, General Manager of DataBee, emphasized this focus on customer-driven solutions. “We want to make security data easily accessible and actionable within the parameters of our customers’ existing technology choices and investments. Supporting cloud and on-prem storage options enables us to do just that. Our security data fabric can help CISOs quickly get and act on data insights, while BluVector provides critical network protection and visibility into even the most stealthy of attacks.”

Industry Recognition

Thanks to its continued innovation, DataBee recently received the Data Breakthrough Award for “Data Management Solution of the Year” and was a finalist for “Best Compliance Solution” in the 2025 SC Awards. Additionally, industry analyst EMA featured DataBee in its “Vendor Vision Report,” recognizing Comcast’s solutions for their innovation and leadership.

DataBee will showcase its expanded suite, including BluVector, at the Gartner Security and Risk Management Summit from June 9–11 in National Harbor, MD, at booth 868. This latest evolution reinforces DataBee’s position as a key player in the cybersecurity landscape, delivering tools designed for proactive and effective threat management.
