Customers Bank

WEST READING, PA — Customers Bank, a subsidiary of Customers Bancorp (NYSE: CUBI), has named Steve Wyremski as chief operating officer, effective January 26, 2026, bringing a seasoned banking executive into a key leadership role as the institution presses ahead with growth and digital transformation.

Wyremski brings more than 20 years of financial and operational leadership experience across the banking sector. He joined Customers Bank in 2024 as a strategic advisor and quickly emerged as a central figure in accelerating the bank’s finance and data modernization initiatives, according to the company.

“Steve brings a deep understanding of operational excellence and financial discipline, paired with a thoughtful approach to transformation and scale,” said Sam Sidhu, president and chief executive officer of Customers Bank. “His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to invest in growth, digital innovation, and long-term value creation for our clients and shareholders.”

His background also includes finance roles at American International Group and Veeco.

Customers Bank said Wyremski’s combination of large-bank experience and hands-on transformation work positions him to help guide the institution through its next stage of expansion while maintaining operational discipline.
