WILMINGTON, DECSC President and Chief Executive Officer Rod Ward III has been appointed to the University of Delaware Board of Trustees, joining a group of business and civic leaders charged with guiding the institution’s long-term strategy and governance.

Ward, a fourth-generation descendant of one of CSC’s founders, has led the Delaware-based company since 2010. Under his tenure, CSC has expanded its global footprint across compliance, legal, tax, digital transformation, and cyber risk services. The privately held firm, more than 125 years old, works with businesses worldwide to form, grow, and navigate increasingly complex regulatory environments.

“I’m honored to join the University of Delaware Board of Trustees,” Ward said. “The university’s values of innovation, community, and service closely align with those of CSC. Together, we’re working to strengthen the fabric of Delaware by supporting the success of the university and its students.”

As a trustee, Ward will help oversee academic programs, policy development, financial management, and presidential leadership. The board also plays a key role in fundraising initiatives and capital planning—work that has become increasingly important as universities adapt to shifting workforce needs and technological change.

Terri Kelly, chair of the university’s board, said Ward’s experience across business leadership and public service will bring meaningful insight to the institution. “His dedication to Delaware’s economic and educational landscape is truly inspiring,” she said.

Ward’s civic involvement includes roles with the Delaware Business Roundtable, 50CAN’s national board, Leadership Delaware, and the Rodel Foundation of Delaware. He also cochaired the Delaware Prosperity Partnership—focused on statewide economic development—alongside former Gov. John Carney from its launch in 2017 through 2025.
