PHILADELPHIA, PA — Craftsman Row Saloon is once again transforming its space for the season, launching its fourth annual Halloween pop-up with an all-new theme: “Nightmare Before Christmas: Spooktacular Movie Mash.” The immersive experience, running through October 31, blends Tim Burton’s iconic characters with nods to classic Halloween films such as Beetlejuice, Scream, Halloweentown, The Addams Family, and Haunted Mansion.
Known for going all out during the holidays, the saloon at 112 S. 8th Street is covering every inch of its space with elaborate decorations. Guests will encounter a 20-foot-long Beetlejuice sandworm suspended above the bar, a giant Halloweentown pumpkin anchoring the dining area, and an interactive retro phone that echoes the famous “What’s your favorite scary movie?” line from Scream. Themed lighting, cobwebs, skeletons, and movie-inspired props round out the floor-to-ceiling spectacle, designed to double as both atmosphere and photo backdrop.
The pop-up also features a menu of over-the-top dishes, cocktails, and milkshakes crafted for the season. Highlights include:
- Milkshakes: The Graveyard with mint chocolate chip ice cream and gummy worms; Scary Movie Night, topped with candy, cookies, and a rice krispie brain in a keepsake popcorn bucket; and Pumpkin to Talk About, a pumpkin-pie inspired shake with fall-themed garnishes.
- Food Specials: Cromwell’s Pot Pie, served with a puff pastry witch’s hat; Skellington Stuffed Peppers styled after Jack Skellington; the Fright Night French Toast Burger with bacon, egg, and maple syrup; and the returning Vampire Burger, layered with candied bacon and pumpkin aioli.
- Cocktails & Shots: A candy corn martini called the Candytini, the blood bag-inspired rum mix Blood Bag, and the Trick or Treat Martini featuring peanut butter whiskey and chocolate liqueur. Seasonal shots like the glittered Poison Shot add to the mix.
Owners George Tsiouris and Vasiliki Tsiouris Balis said the holiday pop-up lets them push their creativity, offering guests a multi-sensory dining experience. Once the Halloween season concludes, the space will be quickly reimagined for the bar’s award-winning Christmas pop-up in early November.
Craftsman Row is open Wednesday through Sunday, with hours extending into the evening on weekends. Reservations are available, and the Halloween pop-up is expected to draw crowds looking for both a spirited meal and a seasonal photo opportunity.
