KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Core Solutions announced the launch of DSP Assist, a mobile application designed to help direct support professionals document services and meet compliance requirements in organizations serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The app works with the company’s Cx360 Enterprise electronic health record system and is intended to support service documentation, electronic visit verification, and oversight of care delivery, the company said.
DSP Assist requires staff to clock in at the service location before accessing individual records or documentation tools.
At clock-in, the system records GPS coordinates to confirm the location where services are delivered.
Once logged in, staff can access schedules, documentation workflows, and individual care information within the app.
The application supports time tracking, medication administration documentation, behavioral tracking, goal monitoring, and daily service notes.
Entries made through the app synchronize with the Cx360 Enterprise system in real time, according to the company.
DSP Assist can also operate in environments without internet connectivity.
In those cases, staff can continue documenting services offline, with data synchronizing once a connection is restored.
Michael Arevalo, director of clinical strategy at Core Solutions, said the system is intended to address challenges related to service documentation and billing accuracy.
“DSP Assist addresses one of the most persistent challenges in IDD care: ensuring services are delivered, documented, and billed accurately while protecting the information of the people DSPs support,” Arevalo said.
Core Solutions said the app is designed to give provider organizations more visibility into service delivery and improve documentation accuracy while maintaining compliance with data protection requirements.
