PHILADELPHIA, PA — Comcast Corporation (Nasdaq: CMCSA) announced that Steve Croney will become Chief Executive Officer of its Connectivity & Platforms division, effective January 1, 2026. Croney will succeed Dave Watson, who will transition to Vice Chairman of Comcast Corporation, where he will advise company leadership and oversee strategic initiatives.
In his new role, Croney will lead Comcast’s residential and commercial connectivity businesses, including broadband, wireless, and entertainment distribution platforms—core drivers of the company’s growth strategy.

Watson, who has spent more than 30 years with Comcast, said it has been “a privilege to help lead this incredible team and to be part of this very special company.” He added that Croney “brings drive, deep operational experience, and the respect of the entire management team.”
Croney currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Connectivity & Platforms, where he oversees Comcast’s residential and commercial operations. In that role, he led a comprehensive go-to-market transformation, including streamlined pricing, a new creative platform, and enhanced national packaging. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of the division and held leadership roles in finance, operations, and general management.
