WILMINGTON, DE — Citizens for a New Delaware Way, a political action committee focused on reforming state leadership, has announced an additional $200,000 in funding, further boosting its mission to bring transparency, diversity, and accountability to Delaware’s government and judicial systems.
Having raised over $1 million to support new leadership in the governor’s office, the PAC is now turning its attention to systemic reforms throughout the state. Key areas of focus include judicial transparency, police accountability, and increasing diversity in Delaware’s legal leadership. One notable initiative is the push for “wheelspin” in state courts, a reform aimed at ending the practice of judges hand-selecting cases, which critics argue fosters favoritism.
“This new funding is a sign that the people of Delaware are ready for lasting change – not just in the governor’s office, but across every level of government,” said Jackie Griffith, campaign spokesperson for the PAC. “Citizens for a New Delaware Way will continue to push for new, diverse leaders committed to transparency and fairness in Delaware’s courts and throughout all branches of state leadership.”
Griffith, alongside campaign manager Chris Coffey, plans to strategically prioritize district-specific races and promote reforms that enhance accountability and community trust.
