Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PAChildren’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) has expanded its pediatric cardiology network with the opening of a new satellite location in Reading, Pennsylvania, enhancing access to specialized heart care for children with congenital and acquired heart conditions in the region.

The new clinic, located at 5101 Allentown Pike in Temple, will operate on the second Thursday of each month and offer cardiology consultations and non-invasive diagnostic services. These include electrocardiograms (ECGs), Holter monitoring, and echocardiography. The site will be overseen by Dr. Louis Hansrote, a pediatric cardiologist, and supported by the team from CHOP’s Cardiac Center in Allentown.

The expansion reflects CHOP’s continued efforts to bring its nationally recognized pediatric heart care closer to families across Pennsylvania. The hospital’s Cardiac Center is known for its comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating complex heart conditions in children, combining advanced technology with multidisciplinary expertise.
