MIDDLETOWN, DE — Chipotle Mexican Grill is set to open a new restaurant in Middletown on Thursday, December 11, bringing the town its first Chipotlane — the fast-casual chain’s drive-thru pick-up lane that allows guests to collect digital orders without leaving their cars.
Located at 520 Ernst Way, the new Chipotle will operate daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will offer several new incentives as the company expands its footprint and targets younger customers with enhanced rewards programs.
Middletown guests will be among the first to try Chipotle’s newest limited-time offerings: its returning premium protein Carne Asada and the brand’s new Red Chimichurri sauce. The restaurant will also serve the company’s recently launched “Build-Your-Own Chipotle” meal kit, designed to feed four to six people. Customers can receive $10 off their first order with the code TRYBYOC through the end of the year.
Chipotle is also rolling out its new Chipotle U Rewards program, aimed specifically at college students. Enrollees will earn 1,000 bonus points upon signing up and receive 20 percent more points on all purchases, accelerating their path to free menu items.
The Middletown restaurant is currently hiring, with roughly 30 positions available. Benefits include a crew bonus program that can provide the equivalent of an extra month’s pay annually, a debt-free college degree program, English-as-a-second-language support, and access to mental health care for employees and their families. Applicants can learn more at chipotle.com/careers.
The opening marks another step in Chipotle’s growth strategy as the company leans into digital ordering, drive-thru efficiency, and Gen Z engagement to expand throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
