CLAYMONT, DE — Chipotle Mexican Grill has officially opened its first Claymont location at 3603 Philadelphia Pike, bringing its signature fast-casual dining and new digital convenience to northern Delaware. The restaurant features a “Chipotlane,” the company’s drive-thru pick-up lane designed for mobile and online orders, allowing customers to collect meals without leaving their cars.
Open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., the new location offers the latest menu innovations, including Carne Asada and Red Chimichurri, both available for a limited time. In addition, the brand’s new Build-Your-Own Chipotle meal option allows guests to assemble family-style dishes for four to six people, with $10 off their first order using the code TRYBYOC through the end of the year.
Chipotle is also rolling out Chipotle U Rewards, a new loyalty program aimed at college students. Enrollees earn 1,000 bonus points at sign-up and receive 20% more points on every purchase—accelerating their path to free meals while reinforcing the company’s focus on Gen Z engagement.
The Claymont opening brings new job opportunities to the community, with approximately 30 positions available. Employees benefit from a suite of incentives, including an annual crew bonus worth up to an extra month’s pay, tuition-free college degree programs, English language learning, and access to mental healthcare for workers and their families.
Chipotle’s expansion into Claymont marks another step in its nationwide growth strategy, combining convenience, quality, and community investment to meet evolving consumer expectations in the fast-casual dining sector.
