AUDUBON, PA — CertaPro Painters® has named its top-performing franchise owners and painting teams for 2025, spotlighting leaders across North America who delivered standout growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
The awards were presented in January during the company’s annual conference in Orlando, where the network of more than 330 CertaPro Painters® businesses gathered to recognize achievement across residential and commercial markets.
Taking home the company’s highest honor, the CertaCup, were Aaron and Michelle Lewis, owners of CertaPro Painters® of Northwest Arkansas. The award recognizes overall excellence in performance, leadership, and impact across the franchise system.
As they approach their 20th year in business, the Lewises were credited with helping launch leadership initiatives such as CertaHealth, a model aimed at strengthening franchise management teams and operational efficiency. They also contributed to the rollout of new technology solutions adopted across the franchise network.
“All of our success this year was a true team effort,” Aaron Lewis said, praising his staff’s focus and accountability. Michelle Lewis said she was proud of the culture the business has built and the team that drives it.
Several other franchise owners were named CertaCup finalists, including Alfredo Flores and Manuel Sanchez of Central & Northeast Houston, JJ Darr of Dayton, Mitch Berliner, Peter Buttenwieser, and John DeLuca of Westchester and Southern Connecticut, and Gary Sabean of the Fraser Valley.
The company also recognized top individual painters and teams in both residential and commercial categories. Residential honorees included Jim Kmiec of Fox Valley North, Illinois, a 20-year CertaPro veteran frequently requested by customers, and Juan Quijada of Columbus, whose team completed more than $1 million in projects in 2025.
Commercial award recipients included Oscar Santamaria of Rhode Island, a longtime CertaPro professional praised for his skill and reliability, and Robert Garcia of Austin, Texas, whose RNG Painting team was recognized for completing large-scale projects on time and within budget.
