CenterSquare Names Dual CIOs in Bet on Public-Private Real Estate Edge

CenterSquare Investment Management

CONSHOHOCKEN, PACenterSquare Investment Management has appointed longtime executives Dean Frankel and Robert Holuba as co-chief investment officers, a leadership shift aimed at strengthening oversight across the firm’s public and private real estate strategies.

Frankel, the firm’s global head of real estate securities, and Holuba, managing director of private equity real estate, will share responsibility for CenterSquare’s investment platform. Both executives have spent the bulk of their careers at the firm and have played central roles in its growth as a real estate investment manager.

Frankel brings nearly three decades of experience in listed real estate securities at CenterSquare, while Holuba has spent 12 of his 19 years in the industry with the firm, building and managing its private real estate capabilities. The co-CIO structure is designed to combine those complementary perspectives, pairing public market expertise with private real estate insight to guide investment decisions through market cycles.

Chief Executive Officer E. Todd Briddell, who previously held both the CEO and CIO roles, said the change adds balance and depth to the firm’s investment process. Briddell will continue as CEO, while Frankel will retain leadership of the listed securities business and Holuba will oversee the full scope of CenterSquare’s private real estate operations.

CenterSquare said the move enhances its ability to manage risk, expand research capabilities, and support continued growth across its investment strategies. By formalizing shared investment leadership, the firm aims to better align its public and private platforms in service of long-term investor outcomes.
