HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — A 44-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a retail theft at a CVS store in Lower Moreland Township, authorities announced.
According to the Lower Moreland Township Police Department, officers were called to the CVS at 670 Welsh Road on August 30, 2025, after the store manager reported that a woman had left the store without paying for merchandise. Investigators said the suspect allegedly stole a shopping cart filled with items valued at approximately $600.
During the response, officers observed a woman, later identified as Nena Miller, walking westbound on Welsh Road. Police reported that when Miller noticed patrol vehicles, she attempted to abandon the cart containing the stolen merchandise. She was then taken into custody.
Further investigation revealed that Miller was allegedly in possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia at the time of her arrest.
Charges Filed
Miller has been charged with:
- Retail Theft – Take Merchandise
- Intentional Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Authorities emphasized that all criminal charges are allegations only, and that Miller, like any defendant, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
A preliminary hearing is expected to be scheduled in the case.
