BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Drivers in central Bucks County should prepare for a week of significant detours as PennDOT begins pipe replacement work on Route 152 (Limekiln Pike/Main Street) across Hilltown Township, New Britain Township, and Chalfont Borough.
The project, scheduled to start Monday, December 15, will shut down a key stretch of the roadway each weekday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM through Friday, December 19.
According to PennDOT, Route 152 will be closed between Hilltown Pike and Business U.S. 202 (Butler Avenue). During the shutdown, motorists will be directed to follow a detour using Business U.S. 202 (Butler Avenue), County Line Road, Route 309 (Sellersville Bypass), and Hilltown Pike.
The agency is urging drivers to allow additional travel time, warning that backups and delays are likely throughout the region as commuters adjust to the detour. Local access will be maintained. All work is weather dependent.
