MEDIA, PA — Regency-era elegance is coming to Delaware County this spring as a Bridgerton-inspired gala makes its debut in Media, transforming a historic venue into a night of ballroom dancing, theatrical flair, and high-society indulgence.
Jane Baked It, a Delaware County-based baked goods company, will host the first-ever Gilded Crumb Ball on Saturday, May 9, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kings Mill, located at 6000 Pennell Road. The 21-and-over event is billed as an immersive experience inspired by the popular Netflix series Bridgerton, complete with live actors, formal dancing, refined food, and period-style spectacle.
“I cannot wait to bring Bridgerton to Delco,” said Jane Hodson, owner of Jane Baked It. “The ball will take place inside a venue reminiscent to a gorgeous castle that really elevates the event to the next level. Bridgerton is one of my favorite shows and so many people are watching the show on Netflix, so why not bring it to life.”
Organizers say the evening will feature a hors d’oeuvres reception, live music paired with ballroom instruction, a photo booth, an open bar, and an immersive theatrical element with actors portraying characters from the Bridgerton world. Guests will be encouraged to dress according to a formal, themed dress code, with standard street clothing not permitted.
General admission tickets are priced at $136 and include beer, wine, food, dancing, and photo booth access. VIP tickets, priced at $157, add entry to a Bridgerton-themed cocktail class or whiskey tasting, reserved seating for groups of six or more, photos with the Queen and her court, and inclusion in a custom “Ball Newspaper.”
VIP guests will also have access to enhanced experiences such as themed cocktail instruction and curated tastings. Additional vendors will be on site offering floral bouquets, decorative fans, and nail services for purchase.
Doors open at 4:50 p.m., and the event runs for three hours. Refunds are not available.
Tickets and additional details are available at eventbrite.com.
Organizers describe the event as a celebration of fantasy, nostalgia, and spectacle, blending historical inspiration with modern entertainment for what they hope will become an annual tradition in Delaware County.
