Bridge Inspections to Slow Traffic on Route 222 in East Cocalico Township

Traffic alert, expect delays

EAST COCALICO TWP, PA — Motorists traveling through northern Lancaster County should prepare for delays as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) conducts bridge inspections on Route 222 over Colonel Howard Boulevard in East Cocalico Township.

Weather permitting, inspections will take place Thursday, November 13, and Friday, November 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Lane restrictions will be in place on both directions of Colonel Howard Boulevard between the Route 222 on- and off-ramps.

On Thursday, eastbound traffic will see a right lane restriction from 9:00 AM to noon, followed by a westbound restriction from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM. On Friday, inspectors will shift to the left lanes, with the same alternating schedule.

Drivers are urged to use caution, obey posted work zone signage, and remain alert for crews operating in the area.
