Bridge Construction to Close Newportville Road in Bucks County Starting September 2

Traffic Restrictions

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has announced that bridge construction will require the full closure of Newportville Road in Bristol and Bensalem townships beginning Tuesday, September 2.

The road will be closed 24/7 from Tuesday, September 2, through Friday, October 3, between Zimmerman Lane and New Falls Road. A posted detour will direct motorists along Zimmerman Lane and New Falls Road during the closure.

Local access will remain available for residents and businesses, but drivers are advised to allow extra travel time, as backups and delays are expected in the surrounding area. All work is weather dependent.
