NEW CASTLE, DE & PHILADELPHIA, PA — Braskem (B3: BRKM3, BRKM5, BRKM6; NYSE: BAK) has announced the successful completion of a joint development program with Ardent, advancing olefin-paraffin separation processes through the innovative OptipermTM membrane technology. This breakthrough marks a significant step toward greater efficiency and sustainability in polyolefin production.
The collaboration, which began in 2020, focused on testing and refining the OptipermTM technology at a dedicated demonstration unit within Braskem’s facilities. The program achieved critical benchmarks in membrane performance, durability, and operational stability, confirming the technology’s feasibility for industrial applications.

With these promising results, Braskem has revealed plans to incorporate the technology into its commercial operations, beginning with engineering and design work for the first installation.
