Billboard-Charting, Producer and Engineer Ron DiSilvestro Unveils “Career in Sound” Music Production Summer Camp Series

RDS Music and Media

ORELAND, PARDS Music and Media has announced its “Career in Sound” Music Production Summer Camp Series, designed specifically for artists and aspiring music industry professionals. Based out of the legendary Studio 4 Recording in Conshohocken, PA, this multi-faceted, eight-session class guides students through the evolution of a career in music, starting with beat making and vocal recording to producing and recording, and culminating with copywriting, releasing, and promoting the final product.

This unique instructional model was developed by Award-Winning, Billboard-Charting Producer and Engineer Ron DiSilvestro (The Dead Milkmen, PHISH’s Jon Fishman, The Roots’ Leonard “Hub” Hubbard, the “Godfather of Jazz Fusion” Larry Coryell, Parliament Funkadelic’s Bernie Worrell, Jon McLaughlin, Universal Music’s Jack Gray, Atlantic’s Zero 936, The Smithereens featuring Marshall Crenshaw, Manhattan Transfer’s Janis Seigel, and more), who recognized a need for hands-on educational opportunities that could help develop students into self-sustaining artists.

“These courses provide the foundation for recording, producing, writing, and understanding the mechanics of a career in sound,” said DiSilvestro. “They are designed to strengthen the skill sets needed for any opportunity in the music industry.”

At the Studio 4 Recording location, the students, whose ages range from 12-18 and adult, have the unique opportunity to work with music sessions occurring at the studio, which is home to countless hit records, formed by Phil and Joe Nicolo (The Butcher Brothers), and is currently co-owned and operated by one of the most in-demand Indy Producers William Yip. The former location of Ruffhouse Records, the studio has been credited with artists such as Billy Joel, Anthrax, Bob Dylan, Lauren Hill, Dishwalla, The Police, and many more.
