NEWTOWN, PA — Love & Honey Fried Chicken, the Philadelphia-born brand known for its chef-driven approach to comfort food, has opened its first Bucks County restaurant, marking a significant step in its regional expansion. The new location brings the company’s signature buttermilk fried chicken and small-batch cooking philosophy to Newtown.
Founded in 2017 by chefs Todd and Laura Lyons, the brand built its reputation in Northern Liberties through a focus on quality ingredients, hand-prepared chicken, and a friendly, neighborhood-centered dining experience. The Newtown restaurant is the company’s first franchised store, operated by local franchisees Kanay and Dev Patel and Kush Amin.
The company’s founders said the move reflects a broader strategy to introduce the concept to more communities without compromising the brand’s culinary standards. “Our goal has always been to create a place where great food and genuine hospitality come together,” said co-founder Laura Lyons. She noted that the new ownership team shares the company’s commitment to maintaining the details that define the brand.
At Love & Honey Fried Chicken, preparation is central to the menu. Chicken is hand-dredged, cooked in small batches, and finished with a drizzle of honey. The menu also features Nashville hot sandwiches, wings, tater tots, and the brand’s popular banana pudding dessert. Company officials said these items remain consistent across locations as a core part of the brand identity.
To mark football season, the Newtown restaurant is offering a promotional Game Day Deal: a free large order of tater tots with every Double Tenders purchase on Eagles game days, using code FREETOTS online or in-store.
The new location offers dine-in, takeout, delivery, and catering services for area businesses, schools, and community events. Company leaders said the Bucks County launch is expected to support future growth as the brand tests additional markets in the region.
