Bancroft Capital Names Katherine Kullmann as VP of Municipal Underwriting

Business News

FORT WASHINGTON, PA — Bancroft Capital has announced the addition of Katherine Kullmann as Vice President of Municipal Underwriting, a strategic move aimed at bolstering its municipal finance operations. Based in the company’s Fort Washington headquarters, Kullmann will take on the role of primary negotiated underwriter, further strengthening Bancroft’s presence in the municipal bond market.

“Katherine is a tremendous addition to our municipal team,” said CEO Cal Quinn. “Her hiring continues to demonstrate our commitment to providing exceptional, value-added service to our counterparts in municipals.”

Kullmann joins Bancroft after serving on Barclays Capital’s municipal credit origination desk. She began her career with Citigroup, where she extensively honed her underwriting expertise until the firm’s municipal department closure in 2023.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Bancroft,” Kullmann shared. “I look forward to supporting their growing municipal underwriting business and the firm’s mission to serve veterans.”

She replaces former Vice President Glen Balanoff, who recently accepted a leadership role overseeing municipal underwriting at Goldman Sachs. Bancroft executives are confident that Kullmann’s experience will be instrumental in expanding their capabilities.

“We are excited to add someone with Katherine’s experience and versatility to the desk,” said Kate Baltra, Managing Director of Municipals. “I look forward to working with her as we expand our negotiated underwriting capacity.”

A graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.S. in finance, Kullmann also brings an impressive array of qualifications, holding FINRA licenses including Series 3, 7, 52, 53, 63, and 79.

Her arrival underscores Bancroft’s continued dedication to enhancing its municipal finance expertise and supporting its broader mission.
