PHILADELPHIA, PA — Bagels & Co. announced the opening of a new location in South Philadelphia at 2201 Washington Avenue, expanding the company’s presence in the city.
The shop will hold a grand opening event Tuesday, March 17, from 8 to 10 a.m., when the first 100 customers will receive a free bagel with plain cream cheese and a can of La Colombe flavored coffee.
The 1,093-square-foot shop offers limited indoor seating for four customers, with additional seating available outside.
Bagels & Co. said the restaurant bakes more than a dozen varieties of Brooklyn-style bagels, including options such as French toast, cheddar habanero, everything, blueberry, cinnamon raisin, and whole wheat.
The menu also includes a range of cream cheese spreads, including bacon cheddar, birthday cake, black truffle, cookie monster, honey nut, sriracha scallion, and vegan tofu.
In addition to bagels and spreads, the shop offers breakfast sandwiches, pastries, parfaits, and other grab-and-go items.
Popular menu items include the Breakfast Sammy with eggs and American cheese, the Morning Glory breakfast sandwich with bacon, scallion cream cheese, and honey, and a BLT sandwich.
Bagels & Co. also serves La Colombe coffee, tea, and other coffee-based beverages.
The South Philadelphia shop is the company’s fifth location in Philadelphia, joining stores in Brewerytown, Northern Liberties, Fishtown, and Midtown.
The company also operates locations in Florida and plans additional openings in Florida and Columbus, Ohio.
Bagels & Co. said it offers catering services for businesses, schools, hospitals, and community events.
