PHILADELPHIA, PA — Asylon has appointed Anthony McCarty as senior vice president of government and added Michael W. Wanik to its advisory team as the company expands its automated security services for military and government clients, the company announced.
McCarty, a retired U.S. Air Force colonel, will lead growth in government and military security operations, focusing on expanding the company’s drone and ground-based robotic systems.
He previously served as senior director of government technology transition at Aptima, where he worked on integrating artificial intelligence into government security functions.
Wanik, a corporate security executive with more than 40 years of experience, joins as an advisor and will support strategy related to enterprise and government security programs.
He previously held leadership roles in corporate security at United Therapeutics Corporation and UnitedHealth Group, and currently leads Group W Advisory.
“The 24/7 demands of perimeter security at private companies and sensitive government and military facilities have not been met by stationary camera technologies and human patrols,” said Chief Executive Officer Damon Henry.
Henry said the appointments are intended to support the company’s transition toward automated security systems using drones, robotics, and software.
Asylon said it has conducted more than 300,000 automated security missions using its DroneDog and Guardian systems across commercial and infrastructure sites.
The company’s services include scheduled patrols, alarm response, and post-incident monitoring, reflecting broader adoption of automated technologies in perimeter security.
