WILMINGTON, DE — AstraZeneca announced the launch of AstraZeneca Direct, an online platform aimed at expanding access to its medicines by offering eligible patients transparent cash prices and home delivery. The service is designed to support people living with chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, heart failure, and chronic kidney disease, as well as those seeking flu protection.
Through the platform, patients with prescriptions for AIRSUPRA® (albuterol/budesonide) or FARXIGA® (dapagliflozin) can purchase their medicines at discounts of up to 70 percent off list price. In addition, FLUMIST® (Influenza Vaccine Live, Intranasal) will be available for direct order and delivery.
“We remain deeply committed to improving accessibility, affordability, and driving innovation in healthcare, and we are excited to launch AstraZeneca Direct, which will give patients a transparent cash price with the convenience of home delivery,” said Joris Silon, U.S. country president at AstraZeneca. “The program complements our existing patient support services and is an important step forward in offering patients the medication they need, when and how they need it.”
The platform is an extension of AstraZeneca’s U.S. patient support programs, which will continue unchanged for eligible individuals. Those initiatives already provide access to prescribed medications at no or reduced cost for many patients across the country.
AstraZeneca Direct reflects the company’s broader strategy to increase affordability and convenience as drug prices and healthcare access remain under scrutiny. The new service is available now at AstraZenecaDirect.com.
