Ascensus, OneDigital Launch New Pooled Employer Retirement Plans

Ascensus

DRESHER, PA — Ascensus recently launched two new pooled employer retirement plans in partnership with OneDigital to expand access to employer-sponsored savings programs and reduce administrative burdens.

The new offerings include the Path Forward 401(k) Pooled Employer Plan and the Path Forward 403(b) Pooled Employer Plan, marking Ascensus’ first 403(b) pooled plan.

The plans are designed to allow multiple employers to participate in a single retirement program, enabling them to share administrative responsibilities and fiduciary oversight.

Under the structure, Ascensus will serve as the pooled plan provider, handling administrative fiduciary services, recordkeeping, trust, and custody functions, while OneDigital will act as the 3(38) investment fiduciary responsible for investment management.

The plans will be distributed nationwide through OneDigital’s advisor network, which works with employers across multiple industries.

The launch builds on an existing relationship between the two firms that includes more than 1,000 retirement plans and over $5 billion in combined assets.

Ascensus said the new plans are intended to help employers offer retirement benefits while reducing complexity associated with plan management.

Frank Zaguro, national vice president of retirement solutions at OneDigital, said the structure allows employers to delegate key responsibilities while maintaining plan quality.

The company provides retirement and savings plan services to more than 16 million individuals and oversees approximately $932 billion in assets under administration as of December 31, 2025.
