DRESHER, PA — Ascensus announced it has been named Retirement Leader of the Year at the With Intelligence Mutual Fund & ETF Awards, which recognize firms and individuals in the asset management industry.

The awards program honors business leaders, innovators, fund directors and top-performing funds across traditional asset management. Ascensus said it was recognized for expanding access to retirement savings and advancing digital and operational initiatives.

“Being named Retirement Leader of the Year is a powerful validation of the work we do,” CEO Nick Good said in a statement. He said the company remains focused on expanding access to retirement savings and improving outcomes for savers.

Ascensus supports retirement savings for more than 16 million individuals, serving more than 254,100 retirement plans, 1.7 million individual retirement accounts and 766,600 state-facilitated retirement plan accounts as of year-end, according to the company.

Over the past 18 months, the number of retirement plans on the Ascensus platform increased 95%, while total saver counts rose 5.1% year over year, the company said.

Ascensus reported a 92% client satisfaction rate and a 97% client retention rate. In 2025, it ranked No. 3 in the J.D. Power U.S. Retirement Plan Digital Experience Study, according to the release.

The company said it reduced onboarding time for new Individual(k) plans from 28 days to two days, lowered error rates to below 1% and enhanced payroll processes to identify 98% of errors before sponsor file uploads.

Ascensus also said it has applied artificial intelligence tools to retirement services, reducing call-center handle times for new hires by 25% to 30% and increasing productivity by 15%. Last fall, it introduced CalSavvy, an AI chatbot developed for CalSavers, California’s state-facilitated retirement program.

Winners of the With Intelligence Mutual Fund & ETF Awards are selected through a judging process conducted by an independent panel, according to the awards program.
