Ascensus Appoints Jeri Hawthorne as Chief Human Resources Officer

DRESHER, PAAscensus has announced the appointment of Jeri Hawthorne as its new Chief Human Resources Officer, marking a significant addition to the company’s executive leadership team. Hawthorne, a seasoned HR leader with extensive experience across multiple industries, will report directly to Ascensus Chair and CEO David Musto and will be based at the company’s headquarters in Dresher, Pennsylvania.

Hawthorne joins Ascensus from Aflac, where she most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer. She previously held senior HR leadership positions at Campbell and Company, a privately held quantitative hedge fund, and Exelon, the largest energy parent company in the U.S. At Exelon, she led talent and leadership development efforts and managed teams supporting Constellation, the company’s competitive energy business.

Earlier in her career, Hawthorne served in key HR roles at T. Rowe Price and the U.S. Pharmacopeia, and she also gained international experience working in global human resources at Novo Nordisk A/S while based in Denmark.

Hawthorne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheeling Jesuit University and a Master of Science degree from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom. She succeeds Amy Walker, who will remain with Ascensus through mid-September to assist with the transition.

With Hawthorne’s appointment, Ascensus aims to strengthen its organizational culture and talent strategies as it continues expanding its offerings and scale within the financial services and benefits administration sectors.
