PHILADELPHIA, PA — Aramark Student Nutrition has entered a new partnership with the Okaloosa County School District in Florida, aiming to transform the student dining experience for more than 27,300 public school students. The initiative will combine locally sourced food, student engagement, and career opportunities for area residents.
The collaboration will roll out tailored dining concepts for different school levels, including Rally Café for high schools and Cool Caf for elementary schools, featuring colorful, “kid-friendly” meals. The program also brings in local culinary talent, with Chef Michael Stanley—known for his popular food truck, Stanley’s Street Treats—joining to train staff, ensure food quality, and infuse local flavors into menus.
Key components of the partnership include a farm-to-school initiative called Discovery Day, where students can sample fresh, locally grown produce prepared by the culinary team; a Student Experience Ambassador role to lead marketing and amplify student voices; and a robust feedback system to collect insights from students, staff, and principals for ongoing menu improvements.
Okaloosa County will also invest in expanded hiring, competitive wage increases, and recognition events for food service staff. District officials said the program supports their broader mission to address student wellness, foster healthy eating habits, and encourage community pride.
Aramark’s leadership emphasized that the effort goes beyond serving meals, focusing instead on building relationships, celebrating local culture, and equipping students with experiences that extend beyond the classroom.
