PHILADELPHIA, PA — Aramark (NYSE: ARMK) has introduced Culinary Co-Pilot (CCP), an artificial intelligence-powered platform designed to optimize menu planning, purchasing, and operational efficiency across its global hospitality network. The launch marks a significant step in Aramark’s digital transformation strategy and reinforces its leadership in applying AI to foodservice innovation.
Culinary Co-Pilot is part of Hospitality IQ™, Aramark’s enterprise-wide AI ecosystem that integrates data from inventory systems, supplier networks, and customer feedback to deliver actionable insights. The platform enables operators to make faster, data-informed decisions around cost, menu design, and guest satisfaction.
“The tool harnesses the power of AI to enhance efficiency of menu planning and purchasing so our operators can focus on what matters most—serving great food and delivering even better experiences for our guests,” said Baker Smith, Aramark’s chief information officer.
The technology consolidates critical metrics such as Guest Preference, Cost Per Meal (CPM), Purchasing Optimization, and Recipe Transparency into a single dashboard. This allows Aramark teams to identify trends, reduce waste, and improve purchasing decisions while maintaining menu diversity and quality.
Beyond analytics, CCP functions as an adaptive assistant, offering real-time recommendations when supply chains are disrupted or ingredient costs rise. It can automatically suggest suitable replacements and optimize recipes based on ingredient availability, dietary requirements, or customer preferences.
Early adoption has already produced measurable results. In Aramark Collegiate Hospitality accounts, pilot operators reported up to a 30% reduction in time spent on menu planning, with significantly fewer steps required to access key data. Meanwhile, in Aramark Student Nutrition programs, CCP simplifies management of complex regulatory standards, including nutritional and allergen compliance, giving operators the flexibility to adjust menus in real time.
“As part of our Hospitality IQ strategy, Culinary Co-Pilot helps our teams plan more efficiently, providing the insights needed to make confident decisions every day and allowing more time for culinary innovation,” Smith said.
By embedding AI directly into its operational backbone, Aramark aims to streamline workflows, improve transparency, and strengthen customer experiences—further positioning the Philadelphia-based company as a technology-driven leader in the global hospitality industry.
