UPPER DARBY TWP, PA — Aqua Pennsylvania has announced plans to commence water main construction on Providence Road in Upper Darby Township, Delaware County, starting Monday, June 9. The project is part of an effort to upgrade local infrastructure and improve water service for residents.

Work is scheduled to continue through Tuesday, September 30, with daily construction taking place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During this time, Providence Road will be closed on weekdays between Oak Avenue and Prospect Avenue.

To accommodate the closure, motorists will be directed to follow a detour utilizing Bishop Avenue, Baltimore Pike, and Oak Avenue. Local access will remain available up to the work zone.

Drivers navigating through the area are encouraged to allow extra travel time as delays and backups are expected. All construction activities are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement conditions.
