Apache Software Foundation Announces Keynotes and Highlights for Community Over Code North America 2025

WILMINGTON, DE — The Apache Software Foundation (ASF) has unveiled the keynote lineup and full schedule for Community Over Code North America 2025, set to take place September 11–14 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Formerly known as ApacheCon, the event will bring together developers, engineers, and thought leaders from across the global open-source ecosystem to advance innovation through collaboration.

Keynotes to Set the Tone

The four-day conference will open with a diverse slate of keynote speakers addressing critical trends shaping the open-source landscape:

  • Michael “Mr. B” Bratsch, teacher and community builder, will present “The Future is Taught”, focusing on empowering the next generation of open-source contributors.
  • Omar Mohsine of the United Nations Office of Digital and Emerging Technologies will explore how open-source innovation underpins global digital infrastructure in “Building Digital Public Foundations: Open Source at the United Nations”.
