AUDUBON, PA — AIROS® Medical, Inc. has announced the expansion of its truncal garment line, introducing larger sizes to provide more patients with lymphedema-related abdominal and pelvic swelling access to pneumatic compression therapy. The move aims to increase inclusivity in treatment and reduce the need for custom garments.
“Expanding the size range of our truncal garments reflects our mission to provide inclusive, patient-centered treatment options for all patients battling chronic lymphedema,” said Darren Behuniak, Chief Operating Officer of AIROS Medical. “Feedback from physicians and lymphedema therapists guided this process, and we’re thrilled to ensure more patients can benefit from compression therapy.”
Originally launched in 2023, AIROS’ truncal garments function like pants, covering the feet, legs, hips, belly, and abdomen. Designed with pull handles and O-ring zippers for ease of use, the garments connect to pneumatic compression devices that deliver air through chambered compartments at controlled gradients. This process helps move lymphatic fluid, improve circulation, and reduce swelling and discomfort.
The expansion includes six new 8-chamber truncal garment models, designed with varying inseam lengths and abdominal circumferences, compatible with the AIROS 8P pneumatic compression device. Both the garments and device are covered by Medicare and commercial insurance plans, making them accessible to a wider range of patients.
AIROS’ latest update highlights a growing focus on accessibility and innovation in medical devices for chronic conditions. By broadening its sizing range, the company seeks to address unmet clinical needs in lymphedema care and improve quality of life for patients nationwide.
