93-Year-Old Bridge to Be Replaced on Pleasant View Road – Major Detours Ahead!

Traffic Restrictions

LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that construction to replace the bridge on Pleasant View Road over Sanatoga Creek in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, will commence on Monday, May 19. The project is part of a $2.4 million federally funded initiative.

Pleasant View Road will be closed 24/7 from May 19 through January 8, 2026, between Sanatoga Station Road and Linfield Road. During the closure, a signed detour will direct motorists to use High Street, Rupert Road, Evergreen Road, and Linfield Road. PennDOT advises drivers to plan extra travel time, as delays and backups are expected in the area.

The project involves replacing the existing 93-year-old bridge, which is 50 feet long and 23 feet wide, with a new structure measuring 58.5 feet in length and 30 feet in width. Additional upgrades include roadway reconstruction, improved guiderails, drainage enhancements, updated signage, pavement markings, and intersection improvements at Pleasant View Road and Linfield Road.

H&K Group, Inc., based in King of Prussia, is leading the construction as the general contractor. PennDOT has confirmed that the project will be funded entirely through federal resources.
