COLLEGEVILLE, PA — 1031 CORP. announced that Laura Markham, JD, President of Reverse 1031 CORP. and General Counsel of 1031 CORP., has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA). Her three-year term began in September.
“Laura’s election to the FEA Board reflects her deep knowledge of the 1031 exchange industry and her commitment to strengthening the profession,” said Margo McDonnell, President and CEO of 1031 CORP. “Her leadership will help advance the FEA’s mission of promoting best practices and protecting the future of like-kind exchanges.”
Markham joined 1031 CORP. in 2019 as Vice President and Regional Manager for the Pacific Northwest. After several years practicing law in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, she rejoined the company in 2024 to oversee legal affairs and parking exchange operations. In her current role as President of Reverse 1031 CORP., she leads strategic growth initiatives in reverse and improvement exchanges while continuing to guide legal matters across both organizations.
An attorney admitted in Arizona, Idaho, and Oregon, Markham earned her Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and her Bachelor of Science degree from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.

In addition to her Board position, Markham serves on the FEA Membership Committee, where she focuses on expanding outreach and engagement among exchange professionals across the country.
