HARRISBURG, PA — A 14-year-old singer from Schuylkill County has captured the opening spotlight at the 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show after winning fan voting in the statewide “Oh, Say Can You Sing?” contest, state agriculture officials announced.
Carly Green of Tamaqua received the most social media votes among finalists and will perform the National Anthem live during the Opening Ceremony of the 110th Pennsylvania Farm Show at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding said.
Green was selected from a field that drew a surge of interest, with 85 qualified entries—more than double the number submitted the previous year. A panel of judges narrowed the field to 25 finalists, whose performances were then posted online for public voting to determine the singers who will perform throughout the week.
“Each year, the Farm Show begins with voices that remind us of who we are and what we’re growing toward,” Redding said, calling the winners a reflection of the people and communities that sustain Pennsylvania agriculture.
In all, 11 winners from seven counties will sing the National Anthem live to open each day of the Farm Show and at select special events. Daily performances will take place at 8 a.m. in the GIANT Expo Hall at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center from January 10 through January 17, with the anthem broadcast throughout the complex and streamed live on the Farm Show’s Facebook page.
The full schedule of anthem performers includes:
- Zoe Smith of Camp Hill, Dauphin County, at the PA Preferred Reception on Friday, January 9;
- Madalyn Nowell of Greencastle, Franklin County, on Saturday, January 10;
- Bella, Ava, and Rosie Sracic of Gettysburg, Adams County, on Sunday, January 11; the Central Dauphin High School Choir of Harrisburg on Monday, January 12;

The 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show, themed “Growing a Nation,” will again feature hallmark attractions such as the 1,000-pound butter sculpture, the Farm Show Food Court and Farm Market, Sheep-to-Shawl competitions, sheep herding, lumberjacking, cow milking, and hundreds of daily contests and demonstrations.
Organizers say the event will offer more than one million square feet of exhibits and hands-on agricultural education, spotlighting the people behind Pennsylvania’s $132.5 billion agriculture industry as the Farm Show opens the year with tradition, spectacle, and song.
