PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia region is preparing to welcome thousands of visitors from across the nation as it hosts the official national celebration of the 250th anniversaries of the United States Navy and Marine Corps. Designated by both services as their official commemoration, the Navy & Marine Corps 250th Celebration will take place October 9–16, with additional events planned for November 7–11, in what organizers describe as the Semiquincentennial’s largest tribute to America’s maritime forces.

Hosted by Homecoming 250 Navy Marine Corps (Homecoming 250®), the historic event will feature free public activities across Philadelphia, Camden County, and the Delaware River waterfront, including ship tours, flyovers, concerts, and parades. The celebration aims to honor the courage and service of generations of sailors and Marines while showcasing the region’s deep naval heritage.

We are just about to bring this extraordinary celebration to life, and it continues to grow into something truly remarkable,” said George Leone, President of Homecoming 250. “With incredible talent and military resources joining us, the Navy & Marine Corps 250th is shaping up to be an unforgettable tribute, honoring the courage, dedication, and service of our maritime forces.
