PAsmart Grants

HARRISBURG, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) announced the allocation of $10.35 million in PAsmart Advancing Grants to 55 organizations across 29 counties, furthering the state’s commitment to expanding Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. These initiatives aim to increase access to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and computer science education for learners of all ages across Pennsylvania.

“At PDE, we are committed to supporting innovative education and workforce development projects that ensure today’s students are prepared with the skills they’ll need to succeed in the jobs of tomorrow,” said Acting Secretary of Education Dr. Carrie Rowe. “These grants reflect our ongoing commitment to providing every learner in Pennsylvania with the tools to build a successful future.”

The PAsmart Advancing Grants will fund hands-on learning opportunities, professional development programs, and collaborative partnerships to prepare students for high-demand industries, including electric vehicle technology, artificial intelligence, healthcare, and engineering.

The Southeast region of the state received substantial support, highlighting the following institutions awarded grants:

  • School District of Philadelphia: $450,000

  • Lincoln University (Chester County): $450,000
