BENSALEM, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming overnight lane closures on I-95 and Business U.S. 202 as part of a broader initiative to enhance Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) across the region.
From Monday, July 28, through Thursday, July 31, southbound I-95 will see lane closures between the U.S. 13 overpass and the Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) Interchange in Bensalem Township, Bucks County. The closures will occur nightly from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
Simultaneously, motorists traveling southbound on Business U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) in Montgomery Township, Montgomery County, should expect similar lane restrictions between Knapp Road and Gwynmont Drive during the same overnight hours.
The work is part of PennDOT’s I-95 Section GR8 project, which aims to expand and modernize traffic management infrastructure throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. All construction is weather dependent, and drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time due to potential delays.
