WASHINGTON, D.C. — An international summit hosted by First Lady Melania Trump brought representatives from 45 countries to the White House this week, focusing on artificial intelligence, education, and global collaboration.
What This Means for You
- Global leaders are coordinating on AI’s role in education and workforce skills
- U.S. officials are emphasizing public-private partnerships in technology
- New initiatives could influence how AI is used in classrooms and training
The two-day “Fostering the Future Together” summit gathered first spouses, policymakers, and technology leaders to discuss strategies for integrating artificial intelligence into education systems and expanding access to digital tools.
What the Summit Focused On
Officials from nine countries, including the United States, France, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, and Morocco, presented national approaches to incorporating technology into education.
The summit also included working sessions at the U.S. Department of State, where participants discussed digital literacy, online safety, and the use of AI in classrooms.
New Technology Highlighted
During the White House portion of the summit on Wednesday, March 25, First Lady Trump introduced an American-built humanoid system known as Figure 3.
Officials said the presentation marked the first time such technology has been formally demonstrated to international leaders in a diplomatic setting at the White House.
“The future of AI is ‘personified’ – it will be formed in the shape of humans,” Trump said, describing a shift toward systems designed to interact directly with people.
Role of Public and Private Sectors
Participants included representatives from major U.S. technology companies, including Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, Google, Zoom, Adobe, and Palantir.
Organizers said the summit emphasized collaboration between governments and private industry to develop scalable technology solutions and expand access to education tools.
Coalition Goals and Next Steps
The summit builds on the “Fostering the Future Together” initiative, launched during the United Nations General Assembly in September 2025.
First Lady Trump encouraged participating nations to pursue regional partnerships, develop policy frameworks, and expand access to technology for students.
“Our shared vision prioritizes children above political philosophy, geographical borders, and local prejudices,” she said.
Officials said the coalition will continue to meet and collaborate on initiatives aimed at preparing students for a technology-driven global economy.
